WHAT IS NATUROPATHY?  Naturopathy is a holistic approach to health and wellbeing.  It encompasses natural holistic herbal and ancient medicinal treatments such as Acupuncture, Reflexology, Ear candling and Aromatherapy. The study of natural medicines includes botanical medicines, vitamins, minerals and Homeopathy. Naturopaths employ a wide range of modalities within their scope of practice. These may include herbalism, Iridology, Kinesiology and colonic enemas.

WHAT DOES IT DO? In Naturopathy, there is a series of principles and beliefs used to create individual treatment plans:

Self-healing: Identifying and removing obstacles to recovery, allowing natural healing

Underlying symptoms: Resolving underlying physical or mental issues by treating the body, mind, and spirit

Holistic treatment: Recognising individuality to treat all aspects of a person’s health effectively

Education in treatment: Teaching self-care to help empower people to protect themselves against ill health

Prevention: Helping remove toxic substances from a person’s lifestyle to prevent problems.

WHAT ARE THE BENEFITS? A Naturopath can assist by developing a preventative health care plan. Naturopathy may assist with common health conditions including cardiovascular diseases, hormonal imbalance, fertility, menopause, substance abuse, digestive and immune system problems, stress, sleep disorders, addictions, allergies, skin conditions, migraines, cramps and degenerative illnesses such as arthritis. It can be useful in activating the self-healing mechanisms of the body.
