Dr Roshan Ariyaratnam

Dr Roshan Ariyaratnam, affectionately known as ‘Roy’ by many of his patients, is an Australian Trained General Surgeon with a wide scope of practice and expertise in General and Laparoscopic surgery. Since attaining his FRACS (Fellowship of Royal Australasian College of Surgeons) in General Surgery, he has actively sought training in Robotic Assisted Surgery, a new and rapidly evolving field in Surgical Technology. Dr Ariyaratnam has also been trained in the most recent Hernia and Abdominal Wall Reconstruction Surgery techniques, by Internationally acclaimed surgeons in this new and evolving field. He continues to be actively mentored by AWR Surgeons around the globe, and regularly attends International AWR meetings. He is a member of the ANZ Hernia Society, Young Turks Society of AWRSC, American Hernia Society, International Hernia Collaboration and the Abdominal Wall Reconstruction Surgeons Community.

Through his interest in Robotics and Artificial Intelligence in Medicine, he has developed knowledge to maintain his surgical practice in line with evolving trends in Surgical Technology.
